Fear lies at the center of all great fiction.” –Dr. R. Maurer, professor of psych, UCLA

Every time we put the pen to the page, even in non-fiction, we are putting a projection of ourselves on paper. What is your character (read: you, if you like) afraid of: loss, failure, success, being truly known, growing old, the past, becoming like his/her parents? Describe in detail what his/her fear is, where it came from, why it stays, what influences it, how it’s cured, etc.
